There is no better place for painting to turn a room into a jewel box than a powder bathroom. It's the one room in the house that can be as extravagant as you desire.
A floor-to-ceiling mural for an alcove was requested by the client. Several walls and the ceiling were included in this mural, which had an overall size of 10' x 12'.
The client wanted to take advantage of a very large alcove niche leading into the master bedroom. The solution was to bring the outdoors into that part of the house with landscape and trompe l'oeil wrought iron.
The client's home was very formal, and yet wanted some element of tropical design. Banana leaves were incorporated along with the formality of the crest to pull the two design elements together.
An advertising agency requested two things at once: an aging copper wall with lots of brilliant patinas. However, the agency also wanted it to look like a contemporary painting at the same time. Both objectives were achieved.
Client wanted a floral ceiling in kitchen and we arrived at a delicate English garden style using the trellis as a architectural element to the flowers.
